Corporate Screening's roots can be traced back to 1987 when we specialized in general investigative services. Over the following several years the company began focusing more attention on employee background investigations. The background division of Corporate Screening was formed in 1993 to better serve our mission and to become a leader in the pre-employment screening field.

The people of Corporate Screening – client service, office staff, management team – have been promoted from within and have had an integral role in building our business. Our management team and sales department are among some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry because the majority of them have actually conducted background investigations while working their way up through the ranks.

Our technology too has evolved over time in order to better service our clientele. We built the flagship CS Ease system in 1996 to provide our clients with online access to cases. We created Background Express in 2003 to better serve our ‘do-it-yourself’ clients. In order to fill the needs of medical school students and JCAHO regulations, we developed VerifyStudents.com in 2004. That same year, we debuted ApplicantSorter.com, an online job applicant tracking system for small businesses.

One of our greatest technological strengths is that we can quickly and successfully integrate our procedures and systems with just about any clients’ HRS system. We have oftentimes invested in new technology and systems to assist our clients in integrating our systems and theirs.
